Sail Outboard Motors
The Sail range consists of 2.5hp, 4hp, 6hp, 8hp 9.9hp &15hp four stroke outboards, all available in short or long shaft (except 2.5hp which is short shaft only). All engines are pull start and tiller control as present but electric start & remote control will be available on the 9.9hp and 15hp models in 2008. The motors have a two year warranty.
The Sail range will be extended in 2008 when larger engines up to 100hp will be introduced.
Sail can also supply 15hp and 40hp two stroke outboard motors for commercial and rescue service users where two strokes are still permitted. These engines are only available to special order..
Sail Outboards are manufactured by Suzhou Powermax Co Ltd of China. The company is China's largest manufacturer of small petrol engine machines and has exported more than 3 million small generators since it was formed in 1996. Production capacity from its huge modern facility in Nantong near Shanghai now exceeds one million units per year. Suzhou Powermax have been making outboards for nearly three years and selling them to the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand boating markets where they have gained an excellent reputation.
Sail Outboards (UK) Ltd. are establishing a dealer network to market the range and are currently seeking applications from businesses interested in becoming Sail Outboards Dealers.

Sail Outboard Motors of Suzhou, China appoint UK Agent
Sail Outboards (UK) Ltd. are proud to announce their appointment as Sole UK Agents for Sail Outboard Motors. The Agency Agreement was signed by Mr. Chen Wei Jia, Managing Director of Suhou Powermax Co. Ltd who manufacture Sail Outboards, and Nigel Corlett, Managing Director of Sail Outboards (UK) Ltd., at the Suzhou City Headquarters of Suzhou Powermax in late March (pictured below). Nigel Corlett said of the agreement “This is a fantastic opportunity to be in at the beginning of what is going to be a world class brand”.
